The WaterFire Salute to Veterans event is a collaborative, community-wide celebration, whose mission is to honor and recognize all United States veterans, active and reserve military personnel and families for their service, sacrifice, and contributions to this nation, and to organize, exhibit and highlight the wealth of veteran-oriented organizations and services available to them.

ELECTION DAY CHEAT SHEET | @ A POLL NEAR YOU
- Know the deadlines | Each state has different registration deadlines for both absentee and in-person voting. For the Midterm General Elections, Rhode Island Deadlines are 10.09.2022 for the Voter Registration Deadlines, 10.18.2022 for the Mail Ballot Application Deadline, and 10.19.2022 for Early Voting. Learn more here.
- Make sure ID is up to date | Every state has different ID requirements for voting. Rhode Island accepts: Rhode Island driver’s license/permit, Rhode Island voter ID card, US passport, ID issued by a school or college in the US, US military ID, ID issued by the US government or State of Rhode Island, tribal ID, or a government-issued medical card. If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to vote a provisional ballot. The voter has until the close of business the day after the election to provide information to the Board of Canvassers to help qualify their ballot.
- Know your polling location | Be sure to get your polling location information when you register to vote. Register here.

- Know your rights | Make sure you are review your rights before heading out to the polls, so you have up to date information on accommodations for language, disabilities, and general assistance at the polls. Learn more here.

Explore Veteran’s Day and Election Day through the MODE : YELLOW 5 scavenger hunt. Our team is excited to be producing interactive civic experiences that support Providence Arts, Culture + Tourism Dept, local businesses and gives everyday citizens a chance to win prizes.
Prizes will include gift cards and technology. Stay tuned for the winners announcement from the RI Hub Pop up and the Midterm Pop up.
